Huawei The OceanStor Dorado all-flash storage system features an industry-leading FlashLink® intelligent algorithm, developed through full-in-house design and integration with controllers, disk arrays, and operating systems. This innovation maximizes data processing capacity by unleashing controller computing power while enabling smart disk arrays to offload reconstruction tasks, allowing controllers to focus exclusively on IO operations. Enhanced cache acceleration algorithms combined with intelligent modules boost batch processing performance, demonstrating "the more you use, the better" storage efficiency. The large block sequential write algorithm consolidates fragmented data into unified blocks for disk optimization, reducing write amplification and ensuring stable performance. Independent metadata partitioning effectively mitigates performance degradation from garbage collection. The I/O priority adjustment algorithm guarantees instant read/write responses with minimized latency. Additionally, the system synchronously coordinates data layout between SSDs and storage controllers.

Huawei's full-series end-to-end NVMe architecture enables direct communication between CPUs and SSDs, significantly reducing transmission paths. This innovation boosts performance by 65,536 times while cutting protocol interactions from four to two, with write request processing efficiency doubled. As the first all-flash storage vendor supporting this comprehensive NVMe architecture, Huawei's OceanStor Dorado front-end utilizes industry-leading 64Gb FC NVMe/100Gb RoCE protocols. Through proprietary protocols, it achieves millisecond-level failover and plug-and-play capabilities, enhancing reliability and maintenance efficiency. The backend employs 100Gb RDMA protocol for end-to-end data acceleration, delivering latency as low as 0.05ms0.05ms and achieving tenfold transmission efficiency improvements compared to SAS-based all-flash systems.
